The Blagdon Affinity Square Pool – Black is delivered in a small box, one on first sight that would make you think that some of your new pond may be missing – but not so, it will have been flat packed compact to fit and arrive safely at your door.
 
The Instructions will be there too, which are generally easy to follow and the assembly should be quite simple, but it may not be as straight-forward for everyone as it seems.
 
Assembly of the top metal frame is a little difficult and may well need a little bit of force to get into place, and do be careful when doing this, as it is quite sharp on the metal corners. Also, you will need a bit of patience when dealing with the push fit pins, not easy to work with. That said, it does come with all the necessary tools, and this does make it somewhat easier.
 
Once you have all the frame locked into place, you need to add the liner after which placing the other supports is pretty easy to do. On average, it will take two people about 40-50 minutes to assemble.
 
Now you have the Blagdon Affinity Square Pool – Black all built, you will notice it looks and is quite sturdy. Fill with water and set-up the really good filter and pump, switch on and see how lovely it looks – even better with pond lights fitted.
 
If you keep in mind that this is a small pond suitable for keeping a small number of goldfish then it is an excellent buy. Once you have some plants installed you would be ok with about 10 medium sized fish, not Koi Fish though as the pond is not big enough for them and you would need an equipment upgrade also.

Also, when winter arrives it would be a good idea to add a pond heater or floating heater to ensure the water does not freeze.
 
If you have small children around, it is safer than a flat ground pond due to its height, (but please never let small children play or be around a pond without adult supervision).
